ABOUT I-MED PHARMA USA
I-MED Pharma USA is a division of I-MED Pharma Inc., a privately held Canadian company headquartered in Montreal, Quebec. Specializing in dry eye management, I-MED Pharma USA provides Ocular Surface Disease (OSD) solutions to American ophthalmologists and optometrists.
How I-MED Pharma Inc. Began
I-MED Pharma dates-back to 1989, when Dr. Ilan Hofmann, PhD in biochemistry, and Maureen Blanchard opened a small office in Montreal under the name of Domilens Canada Inc., a subsidiary of the Lyon, France-based, Laboratoires Domilens. Dr. Hofmann and Ms. Blanchard grew Domilens Canada Inc. into a fully independent, wholly-owned Canadian company, which was renamed I-MED Pharma Inc. in 1994.
In 2017, Dr. Ilan Hofmann, transitioned from President and CEO of I-MED Pharma to Chairman and Chief Scientific Officer of the company. This allowed him to focus his attention on the research & development of new products, the backbone, and the future of the company. Daniel Hofmann, MBA, BSc in biochemistry, was appointed President and CEO and remains focused on the continued growth and expansion of the company, through both product development and global distribution partnerships.
Today
As a research-based firm with the vision to be the most important dry eye and ocular surface disease company in the world, I-MED Pharma provides innovative OSD solutions to the global optometry and ophthalmology community. Through the years, I-MED Pharma has continuously invested heavily in R&D and has created unique and effective products for ophthalmic surgery and for the management of dry eye disease.
In January 2022, I-MED Pharma expanded into the United States under the name, I-MED Pharma USA.
I-MED Pharma USA offers a complete range of ocular surface disorder products, including ocular hygiene cleansers, a night-time dry eye ointment, nutritional supplements, and therapeutic accessories.
